When did the church begin?
(Of course I am refering to the church universal that is based on: "Jesus being Christ, the Son of God")
For example: was it at the cross? at the ressurection? at Jesus' baptism...etc....

Here are some scriptures...

What scripture(s) can we use to see that we are all sinners?
Romans 3:9; Romans 3:23

What scripture(s) can we use to see how it is we become Born Again (saved)?
John 3:1-15; Romans 10:9-13

What scripture(s) can we use to show how much God loves us?
John 3:16

What scripture(s) can we use to see the Jesus is the only way to heaven?
John 14:6

Good question, we need to know how to talk with people about these types of things, if we are to witness and outreach. In fact, some people withdraw from outreaching and witnessing to others because they "don't know what to say." The answer is READ AND PRAY. God will guide.

Thanks Pastor, we will discuss this tonight at Wednesday Nights.

It was a great discussion last night. I am blessed and even proud of the people God has placed in our church. Amazingly loving and caring people.
Both the practical and spiritual sides of addressing new visitors were spoken about. Great input by all.
All glory to our Lord Jesus.

Good question, I'll be sure to bring it up tonight.

I would say...

1. Greet them (introduce yourself).
2. Let them know if there is anything they need (prayer, if they have questions, etc), you would be more than happy to help them out.

What are the two best things you can do to make a new visitor feel welcome to your church and make them want to return?
